Pebble Hill Estates Community Officially Opens

By Sid Riley
Modern single unit homes for low income families.

The Jackson County Chamber of Commerce hosted the official opening and ribbon cutting for Pebble Hill Estates on Tuesday morning. The occasion was adorned by the pleasing sights for the eyes provided by a bevy of area Beauty Queens, pleasing sounds for the ear provided by the wonderful music of maestros Anita Pizza and Bob Snyder, and pleasing tastes for the palate provided by catered snacks and beverages.
This is no normal housing development. It is designed in a planned community venue with a fine club house, large pool, an exercise room, and will even sponsor special educational and recreational programs for tenants and their children. This is an eighty home affordable housing complex comprised of well designed and built two and three bedroom family homes with front yards, sidewalks, and paved carports.
The $1.58 million dollar project was funded through USDA Rural Development loans, as well as tax credits from the Florida Home Finance Corporation Housing Credit Program. Art Kimbrough with the Jackson County Chamber stated "Our community is truly blessed to be opening a new housing development during these economic times with a depressed housing market." The entire complex is already rented to 100% occupancy with a waiting list of additional applicants.
