HUTCHINSON, KS—The Chipola College Indians defeated the Southwest Tennessee Community College “Saluqis”, 81-70, in a first round game in the National Junior College Athletics Association Basketball Tournament on Tuesday, March 17, in the Hutchinson Sports Arena.
Casey Mitchell led Chipola with 21 points. Torye Pelham scored 15. Malcolm Armstead scored 11. Justin Brownlee scored 10.
Chipola’s overall record stands at (32 – 1). Chipola advances to the second round and will play Lamar Community College at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
