School Officials Recognize County Teams

A county honors its champions

At Tuesday’s regular meeting of the Jackson County School Board, special certificates of accomplishment were awarded by the School Board and School Administrators to two groups of deserving county athletes. Both teams won their respective District Championships, Regional Championships, and went to the State Tournaments in Lakeland.
The Cottondale High School Lady Hornets went to the Final Four at the State Championship Tournament. The same distinction is also true for the Boys Marianna High School Bulldogs team. The team photos which were taken at the School Board Meeting include the Players, Coaches, Managers, and other team functions. The Jackson County Times wishes to congratulate both of these teams, their schools, and all of their fans for a great season filled with significant accomplishments.
