Memories of Veterans pays tribute to the heroes who have served our country. You will hear personal stories of valor and honor told by the men who put their lives on the line to secure the freedoms we enjoy today. World War II Veteran 1st Lieutenant Paul Gordy and his guests were common men called to do extraordinary things. They talk about their experiences from boot camp to the battle of the bulge and share their memories so that today’s generation can learn and understand that freedom can sometimes come at a very high cost.

November 11th broadcasting on the Florida Education Channel will be dedicated to Veterans everywhere. The schedule lineup includes Curriculum Connection: Veterans' Day, Honoring Our Heritage, which provides teachers unique ideas and learning opportunities for students to help them appreciate why America’s Veterans are honored each year on this special holiday. This program was recently honored with a national Gold Classic Telly Award for outstanding production.

A Veterans’ day web page is also available featuring past programs and other related resources for the classroom. To view the page go to www.paec.org/veterans.
