Green’s BP Robbed

by Short, Stocky Thief

On Monday, January 4, 2009 at around 8:30 P.M., deputies from the Jackson County Sherriff’s Office responded to a report of an armed robbery in progress at Green’s BP on Highway 71 North in Jackson County. Upon arrival at the store, the clerk advised deputies that an unidentified black male entered the store and approached the counter. He then produced what was described as a dark colored semi-automatic handgun and demanded the money from the register.

After the clerk complied with his demands, the subject exited the store with an undetermined amount of money and departed the area by unknown means. The suspect is described only as a black male, approximately five feet three inches tall and about two hundred pounds. There is no further information available at this time and the investigation into this incident is continuing.
