Emerald Coast Hospice Partners with Disney's Hands on Network

Emerald Coast Hospice is proud to announce its partnership with Disney’s Hands on Network. Disney is giving back to those who donate their time to Emerald Coast Hospice. As part of the Give a Day, Get a Day program anyone who volunteers for a day will receive a free ticket for one day at any Disney park. Emerald Coast Hospice, a nonprofit agency that provides quality hospice care to Jackson, Calhoun, Holmes and Washington counties is proud to be a designated volunteer site for the program. Emerald Coast Hospice volunteers are a vital part of the hospice team. Our volunteers participate in special events, patient care, crafts and clerical activities. Our volunteers become part of our families and our patient’s families. An hour a month can make all the difference to a patient or caregiver facing this difficult period of life. Our volunteers find love, meaning and gratitude while helping others. We work our volunteer’s schedule and always find a place for them. The Disney program is just another way of how Emerald Coast Hospice shows its volunteers how important they are. If interested, please call Sara Blumenthal, Volunteer Coordinator, at (850) 526-3577. You can also come to volunteer monthly meeting on March 1 at 5:30 at the Emerald Coast Hospice office at 4374 Lafayette St. Come learn about hospice and how you can make a difference.
