Live Television Entertainment!....From Two Egg Florida! By Times Staff

Two Egg featured in California’s Capital City!

Two Egg – The popular Jackson County community of Two Egg expanded its notoriety even more on Easter morning! The uniquely named crossroads was the focus of a live interview on a television station in Sacramento, California.

The staff of CBS-owned station KMAX (Channel CW 31) was looking for a town associated with eggs for their Easter morning show and stumbled across local writer Dale Cox’s website on Two Egg at www.twoeggfla.com.

Television anchor Cody Stark made contact with Cox, who agreed to appear “live from Two Egg” at 8:30 Central time (6:30 in California) on Sunday morning. He also provided the station with a number of photographs of Two Egg.

The interview lasted several minutes and was broadcast to an area with a potential audience of more than 2,000,000 people. Cox answered questions about Two Egg and the local area, explaining where the community is located and giving one of the stories of how the unique name came about. He also answered questions about Jackson County’s popular Bellamy Bridge ghost legend.

“I thought it was a good opportunity to publicize our area to a large audience,” Cox said. “With so many businesses considering leaving California due to tax issues, there is no telling who might have been listening.”

Cox indicated that he has been deluged with email since the interview, many of them from former Jackson County residents thrilled to turn on the morning news and get a taste of home. He also has been contacted by several business owners considering new locations for businesses ranging from cafes to antique shops.

“All in all, it was a fun little adventure,” he said.

The interview can be seen online at www.twoeggfla.com.
