Grocery Outlet Purse Snatcher On the Loose

On Monday, July 5 Officers of the Marianna Police Department responded to 4230 Lafayette Street Marianna, Florida 32446, site of the Grocery Outlet. There was a report of a robbery by sudden snatching of a purse.
The suspect in this case is a black male, in his late teens to early twenties, who was wearing a red had, black shirt, black shorts with a white stripe, and black shoes. It was reported that the suspect had been observing customers at the checkout for indications of having large quantities of cash.
When he selected his target, it was a young female (orange shirt) with several small children. As the victim exited the store the suspect snatched her wallet from under her arm and fled the area on foot. At this time the suspect has not been apprehended or positively identified.
