50 Civic Leaders, Citizens Turn Out for Chamber’s “Power Lunch” in Sneads
Patty Segrest put God back into the public square of civics and the classroom Tuesday at a gathering of civic leaders from Sneads and Grand Ridge sponsored by the Jackson County Chamber of Commerce.
Segrest, a retired educator and former mayor of Graceville, was asked to give a speech at the chamber’s “Power Lunch” series. What was heard by about 50 in attendance in the West Florida Electric Cooperative’s meeting room turned out to be a refreshing and exceptional lecture on “Building Citizenship,” as she called it.
