“I pledge to uphold the ………. .” On Tuesday there was a lot of swearing going on in public places in Jackson County. On Tuesday morning the swearing was taking place in the County Commission meeting room as newly elected officials were sworn in and assumed their elected positions.
That afternoon a similar event was taking place in the meeting room for the Jackson County School Board where County Judge Woodrow Hatcher was administering the oath of office to the three elected school board members.
