Work Is About To Begin On Chipola’s New Arts Center

Site work contract to be awarded this week.

Chipola’s new, state of the art performing arts center is about to begin construction! A contract is to be awarded Tuesday, June 16, on the site work part of the project

All State/Southland is the Design/Build contractor for the entire project, while Triangle Construction will perform the site work as a sub of design/builder.

The original estimate for the site work was $1.2 million. The bid came in at around $900,000, $300,000 under original estimates. Work will officially begin the first of July and it is basically a two year project from July 1, 2009, which would create July, 2011 for completion.
