Both said they loved each other and pledged themselves to each other with an “I do” at the appropriate time on December 16, 1944. Now, sixty five years later, they and their extended family are celebrating the life they have shared together. The celebration honors Dr. Marion B. Davis, Sr. and Mary T. Davis of Marianna.
Their extended family includes an array of sons, daughters grand children, great grand daughter, and step grand children. These include sons, Dr. Bert Davis, Jr. and his wife Karen, Dr. Jeff Davis and his wife Donna; Sandra Davis Cook (deceased), her husband Dr. Larry Cook and his current wife Glenda; Grandchildren, Brantley Cook, Dr. Cassidy Cook and his wife Stephanie, Analie Cook, Meghan Davis Grimsley and her husband Owen, Elizabith Davis Grimsley and her husband Matt, Mackenzie Davis, Joseph Davis, and Sianna Davis; Step Grandchildren, B.J. McDaniel and Adam Cheaney; and one Great Granddaughter, Abigail Grimsley.
This loving family paid tribute to Marion and Mary on Wednesday night at a special family gathering at the residence of Dr. Larry Cook.
