River Clean-Up Day “Gets the Job Done”

Jackson County’s Director or Parks and Recreation, Chuck Hatcher, expressed his satisfaction with the work accomplished in the “Chipola River Clean-Up Day” on Saturday. Many volunteers donated their time and efforts in covering the Chipola River from Yancey Bridge all the way down to the new Hinson Environmental and Conservation Park as they picked up all accumulated trash and debris. “The river was fairly clean, partially because of the recent flooding,” stated Hatcher. “Our volunteers did a great job, and we sincerely appreciate their participation.”
