At Monday’s regular meeting of the Marianna City Commission many of the city’s business owners were in attendance awaiting the agenda item which would bring the existing sign ordinance and discussion of possible improvements and modifications to the floor. The city staff had listed the issues which have been previously aired, and had prepared a suggested approach for consideration by the Commissioners.
However, due to the fact that the meeting agenda was a full agenda, and the fact that discussing each of the long list of issues would certainly take a significant amount of time, Commissioner Roberts suggested that a special meeting be scheduled for sign ordinance matters.
There was general agreement to this suggestion, and the special meeting was scheduled for Monday, July 19, at 5:30 P.M..
