The rain was a much needed blessing for area farmers, as Mother Nature finally decided to end her two month long sweltering drought of the panhandle area. The rain was a much needed blessing for area farmers, as Mother Nature finally decided to end her two month long sweltering drought of the panhandle area. We were all certainly glad to see the rains, but it might have been a little better if she had let it rain a few days before or after the annual fall festival.
