On Wednesday morning at the scheduled Principals Meeting, Sid Riley of the Jackson County Times presented checks to every elementary school principal within the county school system. The checks totaled $1666.00. These funds were created through $1000 in sponsorships provided by area businesses, $160.00 donated by the Marianna Rotary Club, and over $500 donated by local citizens as they dropped their change into canisters at retail establishments throughout the county.
