This year there were only fourteen petitions for review filed with the Property Appraiser for reconsideration of the appraised value of properties on the tax rolls. However, because of a 2009 amendment to legislation related to tax exemption requirements for low income housing projects, the Value Adjustment Board found itself faced with complex legal interpretations relating to requests submitted to the Board by some property owners in Jackson County.
