Crutchfield Wins In Close Race

At the beginning of the evening as votes began to come in, Edward Crutchfield was a worried man. After the early voting totals were issued, he led by nine votes, then he lost in Alford, one of the first precincts to report. Then he lost in one of the Marianna precincts. Finally Graceville voting was recorded and he pulled ahead with a slight lead.
Both Crutchfield and his challenger Clint Pate were in the Supervisor of Elections offices, watching closely as reports of tabulations were given from the back area of the building where counting was underway.
