Like the conquering hero he now is to conservatives and Republicans, Congressman-elect Steve Southerland was welcomed with open arms, hugs and kisses in Marianna Tuesday, as he gave his first public address since the Nov. 2 election. The occasion was the monthly meeting of the Republican Club of West Florida. “You knocked out the champ,” he was told by host Bruce Lambert. Winner Marti Coley, the District 6 Republican representative in the Florida House, was received just as warmly.
