Glenn & Lucille Whiddon who reside in Kynesville, Florida, celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary by spending a week in Nassau, Bahamas with their children, grandchildren and great-grandchild, (pictured). The trip was a special anniversary gift from their family.
In 1958, Glenn Whiddon, who was then in the Air Force, came home on leave to Doles, Georgia. He drove by Warwick High School and Lucille Weaver caught his eye as she walked into school with curlers in her hair. Liking what he saw, he whistled at her and told her he would come back if she would be his girlfriend. She told him that might possibly be arranged, and come back he did! Like a knight on a white horse, he rode his motorcycle into the school and down the hallway with the principal frantically chasing after him.
