Four-Wheeling Criminal: CAUGHT!

On January 31, 2009, investigators from the Graceville Police Dept. and the Jackson County Sheriff’s Dept. were investigating suspicious activity involving ATV’s in and around the Graceville Area.
Investigators located three (3) abandoned four-wheelers in a wooded area at the end of 7th Ave. in Graceville, Fl. Investigators were not able to determine at the time if they were in fact stolen, however, there were indicators that they were. (i.e. spray painted, ignitions by-passed and additions ATV parts laying around, etc.) Investigators recovered these four-wheelers and secured them until verification could be determined.
On Feb. 2, 2009, investigators did determine that one of the four-wheelers had been stolen Jan. 10, 2009 from the City Limits of Marianna, Florida. Further investigation revealed another one of the four-wheelers had been stolen on January 17, 2009 of off Cutchins Rd. in Cottondale, Fl. And the third was revealed to be stolen out of Washington County recently as well.
Investigators
Learned that on January 30, 2009, Jackson County Sheriff’s Dept/Deputies responded to Benchoff Rd., Graceville, Fl. in reference to an attempted theft of an ATV. During the course of this investigation, two suspects were developed. One being identified as Jonathan Michael Dilmore, 35 years old of Graceville and the other is a 15 year old juvenile from the Chipley, Fl. area.
Investigators did contact Jonathan Dilmore at which time he admitted to the attempted theft on Benchoff Rd., but also revealed his involvement in another theft of a Yamaha 225 dirt bike from a location if Graceville on Hwy 77. Jonathan also confessed to the January 10 theft in Marianna, Fl. on Cutchins Rd, and January 18 theft of an ATV at the intersection of Hwy-90 and New Hope Rd. in Marianna.
Jonathan Dilmore assisted investigators with locations of where the New Hope Rd. four-wheeler was located with an additional stolen Mini Bike from Washington County, Florida.

Recovered Property:
1- Yamaha Bear Tracker four-wheeler
1- Yamaha 225 four-wheeler
1- Honda 300 four-wheeler
1- Polaris 325 four-wheeler
1- Mini bike

As of this date, Jonathan Dilmore has been arrested for Principal to attempted Grand Theft and Contributing to the Delinquency of a Minor. Additional charges are forth coming for his involvement in other thefts in Jackson County, Florida.
