Clint Pate

Joel (Clint) Clinton Pate was born in 1961 in Graceville Florida. He is the son of Joel & Shirley Pate and was raised on the Washington and Jackson County line, north of Chipley. He is a graduate of Chipley High School and he attended Abraham Baldwin Agriculture College (ABAC) in Tifton Georgia where he earned an Associates of Arts degree in animal science. After college, he married his high school sweetheart Alice Graham and moved across the county line to 3618 Earlston Road, Graceville Florida where he has resided for over 28 years. Alice is employed at the Jackson County Health Department as a registered nurse. They have 2 children, Anthony Joel Pate (27) and Hannah Pate O’steen (23).
“I have committed to run for Jackson County Commissioner, District 2 in an honest and straight-forward manner,” Pate said. “I am not a career politician. I am a concerned citizen that is taking action to make a positive impact on the important issues facing the residents of Jackson County, such as economic growth, reduced budgets, and road improvements. I believe that if you’re not willing to be a part of the solution, then you are a part of the problem. I believe that government should be accountable for its spending and decisions. I believe in smaller government that should support the people and not rule them. I believe that the citizens of Jackson County District 2 need a strong representative that is willing to stand up and fight for the well being of the community.”
