Mary “Sangy” White and Friends Celebrate 103rd Birthday

Clear minded, alert, healthy, and full of wisdom and grace…that is “Sangy” White of the Lovewood Community, as she celebrates her 103rd year as a Jackson County resident. Occasionally she still drives her family car to the grocery, or even negotiates the seven miles into Marianna.

Over 150 friends, relatives, and admirers gathered at the Cottondale Community Center on Saturday to celebrate the occasion. Sangy was, of course, the center of attention, and she deserved the honor.
