HIS LEGACY
STILL LIVES ON
Life is full of changes, but never, ever give up
Many hurdles, mountains and hills to climb
As we drink from
life’s bitter cup
If we keep driving, and watching the
yellow or dotted line
Jesus is there to lead us, making sure
everything is fine
The clock continues to tick and the world
continues to turn
A ‘Change’ will come,
‘None Violence’ please,
this race is hard to run
Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., age 39, left us in
nineteen sixty eight
Then Obama came along after forty-one years a difference to try and make
First Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., and now Barack Obama
Today I would be so happy just to see my
Daddy and my Mama ’
Just looking back thinking and ‘Remembering the Past’
Still hoping one day we’ll all be able to say…FREE AT LAST, FREE AT LAST!
