The Sneads town council made a “political decision” Tuesday evening, according to city attorney Guy Green’s terminology, and voted 4-1 to allow progress on a planned 12-unit trailer park
Ian Thompson, representing Ridgeland Homes the developer, may proceed with the trailer park provided he hires an engineering firm, build a retention pond and/or other structures to handle increased storm water drainage, and erect a six-foot-high privacy fence between the 3.1-acre parcel and neighboring residences. Councilman Greg Lewis voted against the park because 12 trailers are “too many” for the acreage and drainage would be a great problem, he said.
