Hopkins Auto Dealership Undergoes Restructuring


These are tough economic times for our nation. One of the industries most impacted by the events of 2009 and 2010 has been the automobile industry. Marianna has not been exempted from this situation.
Due to declining market conditions created by the general decline in the U.S. economy, combined with huge cost structures within the automotive industry created by factors such as funding union negotiated health plans for active and retired workers, generous retirement pensions, very high wage structures, workplace regulations which decrease productivity and increase manufacturing costs, costly EPA regulations relating to emissions, and costly government regulations,…the industry fell prey to foreign competition and became unprofitable.
